My name is Juha Berglund, and I am a Finnish amateur photographer (and a professional software engineer). I spent a decade living in Tokyo, Japan, and after that I resided for five years in a small town in Switzerland. Now I am learning to call Helsinki, Finland my home.
A good photograph is like a haiku. Successfully capturing a passing moment, thought or emotion in a single frame is immensely rewarding. Photography has been my favourite hobby since I bought my first DSLR in the end of 2007. Through building up my own skills I have learned to appreciate the work of the truly talented photographers even more.
Most of my pictures are taken from travels. I especially enjoy hiking in the nature with my wife, carrying too much camera gear and trying my best to capture the vanishing beauty of this planet. I wish that some day I would have more time for photography, and that I could travel just on the terms of the hobby.
