Seula
Seula is a macOS app and my passion project. It is an attempt to build the photo selection and culling tool I always wished existed. At the same time, it has been a way for me to revitalise my programming skills, explore AI-assisted development, and stay current with the rapidly evolving landscape of modern AI models.
I’ve spent hundreds of hours refining the experience and optimising the performance, focusing on one simple goal: making photo selection as fast, smooth, and distraction-free as possible. Privacy and data protection have been guiding principles from the very beginning. Seula is free (and ad-free), 100% local, and does not send your photos or metadata to the cloud. It is designed to help photographers make decisions efficiently without compromising ownership, privacy, or the safety of their image library.
If you're a Mac user and work with possibly large collections of photos, I'd love for you to give Seula a try. The application is under active development, and many of its improvements have come from user feedback and real-world workflows.
You can learn more and download the latest version at seula.app. If you have ideas, feature requests, or encounter any issues, I'd be happy to hear from you. Every piece of feedback helps make Seula a little better.
